Camp KC (Kids Connection)
A one week lakeside summer camp for HIV/AIDS affected children ages 5-15.
In 2001 my life changed forever when I first volunteered to work with HIV/AIDS affected children and their families through WIAR (Women’s Intercommunity AIDS Resource). In 2013, with 13 years of experience, I was honored and humbled to have accepted the volunteer position of Camp Director for Camp KC (Kids Connection), Cascade AIDS Project’s lakeside summer camp for HIV/AIDS affected children ages 5-15.
Our one week camp experience is a unique component of our year long program for children and families, Kids Connection, which allows campers to enjoy arts & crafts, swimming, canoeing, music and more all while in the supportive community of trained and dedicated volunteers. I couldn't be more excited to invite you to become one of the valued members of our Camp Community who have made the “Connection”, be it donor, volunteer, program staff, camper or family. Thank you PW.com readers for “Connecting” with us and our program.
